City Wall in Xi'an

This picture was taken at ground level. I don't recall what this building was originally used for. There is an identical building on the opposite side.

Stairs leading to the top of the wall.

The gangs all here: Cheryl, Matt, Sue, me, Ira, and Melissa.

Cheryl rubbing the dragon for good luck.

Cannon on wall.

This view is from the opening where the cannon was on the picture above.

Building in which we learned more about Feng Shui.

The more animals on the roof top, the more important the building.

View from the top of the wall showing contrast between ancient and modern Xi'an.

Bicycles for rent.

Wall goes on for miles. Not too many people out walking in the heat.

Queen for the day. Ira (left) and Matt (right) are my man servants.

After leaving the Terracotta Warriors, we went to the city wall which was about an a hour away. The wall was built 600 years ago during the Ming Dynasty. I don't know how far it stretches, but from on top we could see it for miles. Because of the heat, we really didn't get to walk much of it.
