Today was my first official day in the USA House store. Since the Olympics has not begun, we have shorter shifts. So far we straightened out all the merchandise by putting the clothing in xs-xxl sizes, folding items that customers looked at and returning them to the shelves, and putting hats, pins, and misc. items in their places. I also helped customers with sizing and pricing. I'm still learning what we have in the store, so I'm hoping to be able to know where everything isand what merchandise we have within a couple of days. The tricky part is trying to remember the prices. Some items have prices and some don't.
The merchandise seems to be flying off the shelves. Even though very few people have entered the store, the ones that do are going home with bags full and intend on returning. There have been positive comments about the store's look. Those who put the house together really did an amazing and miraculous job of transforming the Jasmine Restaurant in to the USA House.
I'll have to purchase my gifts early as I fear they will sell out. The store's goal is to sell at least a million dollars of merchandise. I don't think that it will be a problem.

A: sounds like you're enjoying your time there. Is it as hot as the Philippines? Glad you're ok with your asthma. We're hungry for more pix. When are you going to the Great Wall and Xian?
