I'm A Quick Study

Did you like my pictures? Once Matt showed me how to add pictures, I went hog wild. Now I will be able to post more pictures. I feel so proud of myself. The low techie is learning. :-)

Hi Arlene,
Denise Rubio was kind enough to share your blog with me. I love your stories and pictures. What an opportunity. The apartment looks wonderful and I would love to have your job!!!!! I am afraid I would buy one of each souvenir and then have to wash dishes in a Chinese Restaurant in order to pay my way home. Keep writing!!!

Cool pictures. That is a really nice apartment you're in. We all thank you, for as you know, a picture is worth a 1,000 words (or characters?).

Hey Arlene,
Good to see your stomping grounds. We don't get to see the behind the scenes stuff, only what the media pumps out. The opening ceremonies were spectacular. They ended at 12am this morning and worth every minute - it would have been better to be there I think. Did you hear all the fireworks going off?
Love,

I didn't hear the fireworks from the Opening Ceremonies because I was inside the House working. Those who did go outside could hear them. The House was too far east of the Bird's Nest.

The people in the House were all mezmerized watching the ceremonies on the flatscreens all around the House. The Chinese are so creative and definitely showed that they have a flare for the dramatic.
