A cool thing happened to me a couple of days ago in the USA House store. One of the biggest partnership that the USOC has is with VISA. The second day of the soft opening(opening in which only sponsors, partners and other invited parties can come) the boss of VISA was in the store while I was punching what seemed like the 2,000th VISA hanging card (advertising their sponsorship)to the merchandise that day. He was so pleased with all of the VISA hanging cards volunteers and staff members has attached that he came over and gave me a hug
and then handed me an envelop with the words Michael Phelps $25 written on the outside of it. He thanked me for my hard work and asked to have us punch another VISA advertisement on the Ralph Lauren USA Team hat that he was buying. That was so exciting. I actually have a debit card with a picture of Michael Phelps swimming the butterfly and with his name on it. I'll keep it forever.

Hi, Arlene,
I'm glad I found your blog. How amazing to be in a city that is so different from our own. The news media often focuses on the negative so I, for one, don't take what I read very seriously. What's important is that you are feeling well, seeing new things and looking for the best, brightest, most unique and interesting in your trip.
Sounds like your being there is making a difference in your store; certainly it is for those shopping there. If you get a chance, please tell me if you see any ginkgo trees. I love them. And are there any flowers that are different? Peace to you. Keep writing...Aloha
Your blogs are so interesting and informative. I am sharing them with our coworkers and it is the hit of the office. Keep up the great work.
