First Dinner Out and a False Alarm!!!

My first dinner out was at this fantastic Italian restaurant called Donatello Restaurant on Elm St. I had the BEST linguine and clams ever. The noodles were cooked perfectly and the flavor was to die for, a garlic wine sauce. There wasn't a lot of sauce because it must have been absorbed by the perfectly cooked noodles. Al dente is the way to go. There was an abundance of Manila clams in a shell. The French bread was fabulous too. I highly recommend it. Too bad I was so hungry that I forgot to take a picture of it for I devoured it. Great conversation and fantastic food.

A bit of excitement tonight. Shortly after dinner, while at our registration table we heard a piercing shrill noise ringing through Pitman Hall. At first we really didn't know what to make of it. It sounded a little like the feedback one might get when on a microphone, only pulsing and very high pitched. It was the fire alarm. We all evacuated quickly from the 14-story building and the fire trucks were here in about 5-7 mins. Luckily after a few minutes we were allowed to return. So glad that it was a false alarm.

This was one of three that responded to the alarm.

This was the field hockey team from Trinidad and Tobago. They were posing for one of our young reporters from their country.
